A Christmas Carol
Version 1: 20-40 people of varying ages; Version 2: 4 men, 2 women, 1 childMark has written two different adaptations of A Christmas Carol, the classic Dickens tale of redemption featuring Ebenezer Scrooge and the four ghosts who change his life.
Version 1 is a large cast version playable with doubling by 20 – 40 people of varying ages. It is called A CHRISTMAS CAROL or Scrooge’s Nightmares.
First produced at St. Andrews Presbyterian College in conjunction with Encore! Theatre in Laurinburg, NC in December 2009.
Version 2 is a small cast script for 4 men, 2 women and one child.
This version of A CHRISTMAS CAROLwas first produced at the Massanutten Dinner Theater at Massanutten Resort in Virginia in December of 2005.
Both versions make use of much of the narration that is directly from the Dickens novel.
