This version is adapted from the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. Arthur is a traveling squire who visits the kingdom around the time when the bragging Miller tells the king that his daughter can spin gold. Arthur gets the job as court jester and helps set up the spinning room for Sarah, the Miller’s daughter. Once Rumpelstiltskin has secured his promise of her first born child, Arthur becomes a wizard and performs the wedding ceremony of the King and Sarah. One year later, Rumpelstiltskin returns for the baby. Desperate, Queen Sarah sends Arthur to discover Rumpelstiltskin’s name. When the King returns home the fairy tale has reached its happy ending, and of course Arthur is knighted.
