Jack and the Beanstalk
The classic English fairy tale with a moral ending…
The short script (approximately ½ hour) can be performed by a cast of 3 or 5.
Characters:
Zoltov – the storyteller and bean trader
Jack
Mother
Giant
Giant’s wife
Either 2 males, 1 female or 3 males, 2 females. Jack can be played by either a male or female child or an adult. The Giant can doubled with Zoltov and Mother can double with the Giant’s Wife. Voices of Hen and Harp can happen backstage. Cow can be a volunteer from the audience or doubled by some combination of the Giants.
