Snow Queen

This play is adapted from the story by Hans Christian Andersen. Narrated by Angels, It features the story of a boy named Kay and a girl named Gerda who were childhood friends. When Kay is abducted by the Snow Queen and taken to the queen’s castle at the North Pole, Gerda must set out on an adventure to the ends of the earth to rescue him. In this adventure saga the heroine rescues the boy in distress.

It was first produced with an all children cast of over 30 by the Lakewood Young Performers in Madison, ME in 1994. It was later produced by the LA Acting Workshop in Florida, 1998. It runs approximately 1 hour.

In 2006, Golden Duck Productions mounted a production with a cast of 4 adult women, 3 adult men, 2 girls and 1 boy.
